[TYRA Career Talk] 2025-09-28 美國醫師職涯分享：從臨床訓練到醫學院任教之路
|| 摘要（Abstract）:
本場活動邀請兩位於美國取得醫學院教職的醫師學者，分享他們自台灣醫學系畢業、赴美申請住院醫師訓練（Residency）與次專科訓練（Fellowship），一路走進美國學術醫界的完整職涯歷程。內容涵蓋從動機啟發、申請流程、實務與臨床經驗的累積，到進入職場後的挑戰與轉折。
特別的是，兩位講者分別走上不同的職涯路徑：吳醫師投身傳統 academic track，結合教學、臨床、研究與 AI，涉略 ML 模型應用、Dry Lab 工作、臨床資料分析與自學程式技能。謝醫師則聚焦於臨床試驗與藥物開發，除在大學任職，也參與社區醫院的後期試驗，並致力於指導後進、參與 NCI 相關計畫。
兩位講者也將以招募委員的視角，深入剖析申請住院與專科訓練時，文件與面試真正關注的重點。無論你正考慮出國，或已在申請準備的路上，這場講座將帶來實戰經驗與關鍵建議，幫助你看見多元而現實的國際醫學職涯可能。
|| 講者（Speaker）:
2015 年從台大醫學系畢業後，在匹茲堡大學醫院（UPMC）進行訓練，並且碩士畢業。訓練完畢後在華盛頓大學執業兩年，目前在瑞典癌症中心擔任腸胃腫瘤科主治醫師，並且是國家癌症研究院（NCI）的研究委員會成員。對臨床研究、藥物研究以及臨床試驗有興趣。
Dr. Chao-Ping Wu, MD, MSQM-HA, is Co-Medical Director of the Kemper ICU and Associate Staff in the Integrated-Health-Institute at the Cleveland Clinic. Born in Taipei, he earned his MD from National Cheng Kung University and an MS in Quantitative Management–Health Analytics from Duke University. Board-certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Disease, Critical Care, and Critical Care Echocardiography, he leads NIH-funded AI/ML research to enhance critical care delivery, including predictive modeling of ICU outcomes. A Fellow of SCCM, ACCP and AMIA member, Dr. Wu has published extensively on machine learning in asthma and sepsis, serves on multiple informatics and quality committees, and was named 2023-2024 Critical Care Teacher of the Year. He is committed to mentoring the next generation of clinician-scientists.
