I am currently the Manager of an Evaluation and Quality Improvement team at the Program Evaluation and Research Unit (PERU) in the School of Pharmacy at the University of Pittsburgh. With a PhD in Educational Psychology from the Institute of Education at the National Chiao Tung University, Taiwan. My research has focused on understanding the reading and learning patterns of English language learners (ELLs) with(out) eye-tracking technology. I was a visiting scholar funded by the National Science and Technology Council, Taiwan, at the Ohio State University in 2017 and 2018.
My academic accomplishments have included narrative reading using eye-tracking technology, vocabulary acquisition, and collaborative small-group discussions. I specialize in mixed-methods research and program evaluation, combining rigorous qualitative and quantitative approaches to answer complex research questions. My work often involves quasi-experimental designs, data collection, thematic analysis, statistical testing, and contributing to peer-reviewed publications.
Over the past few years, I have led program evaluations across a range of initiatives, particularly in public health and education. I develop comprehensive logic models and evaluation plans that align with project goals and funder requirements (e.g., NIH, NSF, USDA).
