Vet by day, park explorer by weekend! After earning her DVM and MSc from the Department of Veterinary Medicine at National Chung-Hsing University, she joined the Gastrointestinal Laboratory at Texas A&M University for a PhD, diving deep into the gut microbiome and metabolome in pets with digestive diseases. During her PhD study, she developed the feline dysbiosis index, a clinical test to evaluate fecal microbiota in cats, which has been widely used in research studies and clinics. Currently, she is an anatomic pathology resident, where she is researching the link between microbes and diseases. When she's not working, she enjoys hiking, climbing mountains, and relaxing at the beach.
