|| 講者（Speaker）:
Dr. Yin-Chan (Janet) Liao is an Assistant Professor of Learning Technologies in the Department of Learning Sciences. She earned her Ph.D. in Instructional Systems Technology from Indiana University-Bloomington and holds an M.S.Ed. in Learning Science and Technologies from the University of Pennsylvania. Her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education is from the National Taipei University of Education in Taiwan.
Her research investigates teacher preparation and professional development approaches that help K-12 educators integrate computing and AI into their classrooms. She emphasizes supporting teachers through research-practice partnerships and case studies. Current projects address equity issues in K-12 computing education and involve the integration of computing and AI through a co-design process with teachers and teacher education faculty. Additionally, she has served on multiple search committees for tenure-track faculty and postdoctoral positions, as well as committees for graduate student recruitment.
I am an Assistant Professor in the Computer Architecture for Embedded Systems (CAES) group at the University of Twente, Netherlands. I received my Ph.D. degree (Dr.-Ing.) with the highest distinction (summa cum laude) from TU Dortmund University in 2019, where I also held a postdoctoral research position. Prior to that, I obtained my M.Sc. in Computer Science and B.A. in Humanities and Social Sciences from National Tsing Hua University in Taiwan.
My research interests lie in real-time systems, embedded computing, and hardware-software co-design. I have authored over 80 peer-reviewed publications in top-tier journals and flagship conferences. I currently serve as an Associate Editor for IEEE Nanotechnology Magazine and as a TPC member for several premier conferences. My contributions have been recognized with awards including Best Paper at ECRTS’23, Best Student Paper at RTCSA’18, and the Outstanding Reviewer Award at CODES+ISSS’24. I co-founded the Dutch Real-Time System Community, coordinate the ASCI course “Design and Implementation of Real-Time Systems,” and am a member of Young Academy Twente.
目前任教於 Department of Entomology and Nematology, University of Florida，研究領域為農業害蟲與植物病媒昆蟲防治。2024-2025 擔任系上 Graduate Admission and Recruitment Committee，評選及審核系上研究生的入學資料與系上研究生獎學金得獎學生。
