2024-08-24 多鐵性材料於 GHz 頻段天線微型化應用開發

行動裝置追求輕薄短小,但天線尺寸無法依摩爾定律縮小。傳統天線隨尺寸縮小,歐姆損耗及儲能增加,輻射效率降低,這被稱為電性小天線(ESA)。為克服ESA窄頻低效率,近年來提出的機械天線利用機械波波速低於電磁波波速的特性,通過機械波激發電磁輻射實現微型化。結合壓電及磁致伸縮材料的多鐵性天線,有望應用於超高頻(0.3 GHz-3 GHz)及極高頻(3 GHz-30 GHz)。

許瑞福(Rui-Fu Xu)
Rui-Fu Xu completed his BS degree in Electrical Engineering in 2016 and his MS degree in Communication Engineering in 2019, both from National Taiwan University (NTU), Taipei, Taiwan. Currently, he is pursuing a Ph.D. in Communication Engineering at NTU. His research focuses on antenna miniaturization, multiferroic antennas, mechanical antennas, and RF MEMS. In recognition of his research contributions, he recently received the 2024 Technology Award from the Hon Hai Education Foundation. In addition to his academic efforts, he actively contributes to improving Taiwan's higher education environment, advocating for initiatives such as institutionalizing PhD salaries. He has previously held leadership roles as the President of the Graduate Student Association at NTU and as Chair of the IEEE NTU Student Branch.

|| 摘要(Abstract):

各類行動裝置追求輕薄短小時,存在一個根本的限制因素:天線沒有辦法循摩爾定律尺寸縮小。仰賴電流激發的傳統天線隨著尺寸縮小,歐姆損耗及儲能的增加,嚴重限制了天線的輻射效率,此類研究問題也被定義為電性小天線(Electrically Small Antenna, ESA)。 因此為了克服電性小天線窄頻寬低效率的問題,近年來各類機械天線被廣泛提出,基本概念為利用機械波波速遠低於電磁波波速的特性,使用機械波激發耦合的電磁輻射實現微型化設計。其中結合壓電(Piezoelectric)及磁致伸縮(Magnetostrictive)材料的多鐵性天線有望實現超高頻(Ultra High Frequency, 0.3 GHz-3 GHz)及極高頻(Super High Frequency, 3 GHz-30 GHz)的應用。
